Maintaining a Cast Iron Pan
Of course this whole blog stuff would be started off by a cooking video. This video was short and to the point for explaining how to properly season and take care of a cast iron pan. I for sure haven't been taking care of my things the way I should.
Things I learned in this video:
- Leaving water residue on the pan after cleaning will cause rust spots.
- For rough cleaning, use a steel wool sponge.
- Glazing the pan is that you lightly cover your pan with oil and you heat it max in the oven and let it break down on the surface.
- Salt and hot water can be a good way to lightly wash your pan off.
