Maintaining a Cast Iron pan

Maintaining a Cast Iron Pan

Of course this whole blog stuff would be started off by a cooking video. This video was short and to the point for explaining how to properly season and take care of a cast iron pan.  I for sure haven't been taking care of my things the way I should.

Things I learned in this video:

  1. Leaving water residue on the pan after cleaning will cause rust spots.
  2. For rough cleaning, use a steel wool sponge.
  3. Glazing the pan is that you lightly cover your pan with oil and you heat it max in the oven and let it break down on the surface.
  4. Salt and hot water can be a good way to lightly wash your pan off.
